Flappy Bird Game

Flappy Bird is a video game on windows, Android and iOS, created by a developer from Hanoi, Vietnam named Nguyen Ha Dong and launched in May 2013. The gameplay is by tapping your finger on the smartphone screen or click on desktop to make the bird fly through each green pipe. If the time when tapping the screen is not correct, it can cause the bird to fly into the pipe and end up having to restart the game from the beginning. Nguyen reasoned that he created this game for the leisure activities of his players.

Flappy Bird's origins came to light on November 6, 2012 when Nguyen shared an image on Twitter of a game he was working on. The picture shows the bird character which became the forerunner of the main character Flappy Bird. However, at the time Nguyen did not mention the title of the game he was working on. Then on April 29, 2013, Nguyen again shared an image of a game he had made under the title Flap Flap for Apple iOS.

Flappy Bird was originally called Flap Flap which adopted the visual style of Nintendo's game. Nguyen claimed to have finished the game in just two days. A month has passed, it turns out that the name of the Flap Flap application is already in the Apple application store, the App Store. Nguyen renamed the game Flappy Bird on 24 May 2013 under the .Gears Studio (dotGears Studio) banner. Gears is Nguyen's own small and independent game development studio in Vietnam. At the same time he wrote a status on Twitter about his highest score on Flappy Bird of 44, while providing a link to download the application.

The main character of this game with 8-bit graphics is a bird. To play Flappy Bird, all you have to do is tap your finger on the screen to make the bird fly. It's not just random flying, but the challenge here is to prevent the bird from hitting the green pipe by flying through the gap. Players will get a score of 1 (one) if they successfully pass one pipe. If you tap the screen incorrectly, This can cause the bird to hit the pipe and eventually have to restart the game.

Early on, Nguyen shared his high score on Twitter, which was 44, with the score being a link to the game. After that the game started becoming popular and many people started sharing their high score on social media. But there is no official recorded world record for Flappy Bird. But it is rumored that the highest score achieved without cheating is above 999.

On February 8, 2014, Nguyen announced on Twitter that the game would be removed from the Apple App Store and Google Play, writing: "I'm sorry 'Flappy Bird' users, 22 hours from now, I will be removing 'Flappy Bird'. hold on any longer." He went on to say that removing the game had "nothing to do with legal issues". The game was removed from both the Apple Store and Google Play Apps in a timely manner, much to the chagrin of fans.

As Nguyen had promised, August 2014 saw a revised version of Flappy Bird, called Flappy Birds Family, released exclusively through the Amazon Appstore for the Amazon Fire TV platform. This new version also does not feature the new obstacles in the original version as well as additional multiplayer options.
