How to Play

You control the drill head as it burrows through a series of 10 underground maze levels. Your goal in each stage is to collect every oil pocket hidden in the cavern. Once you’ve cleared them all, you move on to the next field.

The catch? Your drill shaft follows behind you as you move, and it’s not just decoration — it’s vulnerable. The underground creatures roaming the maze can attack the shaft, not just the drill head. That means careless movement can leave you exposed. Planning your path is just as important as quick reflexes.

Some levels introduce tighter corridors and more aggressive enemies, so you’ll need to decide when to push forward and when to pull back. It’s a game of positioning, timing, and keeping your drill intact long enough to finish the job.

Game Features

Driller: The New Fields updates the experience with cleaner visuals and smoother movement compared to earlier versions. The controls feel responsive, which matters when you’re navigating tight corners with enemies nearby.

There are three difficulty settings, and they genuinely change the feel of the game. On easier modes, you have more room to experiment. On Hard, every move counts and certain safety options are removed, forcing you to fully commit to your route planning.

Scoring

Scoring in Driller rewards both efficiency and bravery. Each oil pocket you collect earns 10 points, while defeating a monster gives you a solid 50-point boost.

Speed matters too. For every second you finish under the target time, you gain an additional 10 points. On top of that, the game tracks your maximum drill length, awarding 5 points for every metre reached. If you’re aiming for a high score, you’ll need to move quickly, defeat threats, and manage your drill length strategically.
