Play Pokemon Sors, a Pokémon FireRed ROM hack set in the Hupest Region. Discover the mystery of the Grand Eclipse, explore a new storyline, encounter Solar and Lunar Forms, and follow Asher journey through an adventure filled with secrets and challenges.
Game Intro
Pokemon Sors is a fan-made Pokémon ROM hack created by Vytron and built on the Pokémon FireRed engine for the Game Boy Advance. Rather than offering a simple remix of the original adventure, it introduces an entirely new storyline, region, characters, and gameplay mechanics that help it stand apart from many other FireRed-based projects.
The game takes place in the Hupest Region, a land shaped by a mysterious historical event known as the Grand Eclipse. Hundreds of years before the events of the game, a rare celestial phenomenon caused dramatic changes in Pokémon, altering their appearances, typings, and behavior. The aftermath left a lasting mark on the region's history, with many people fearing the return of such an event.
As players begin their journey, they step into the role of Asher, a young trainer whose life is more closely tied to the secrets of the Grand Eclipse than he realizes. What starts as a typical Pokémon adventure soon develops into a larger story involving scientific experiments, family conflict, powerful organizations, and the growing threat of chaos spreading across the region.
Pokemon Sors combines traditional Pokémon exploration with a story-driven experience, making it an appealing choice for players looking for something deeper than a standard Pokémon journey.
Game Story
The history of the Hupest Region revolves around a legendary event that occurred roughly 300 years ago. During an unusual sequence of a lunar eclipse followed by a solar eclipse, Pokémon across the region underwent unexplained transformations. Their colors changed, some developed new elemental types, and many began behaving differently than before.
This event became known as the Grand Eclipse and was recorded as one of the most significant moments in Hupest's history.
Centuries later, researchers sought to uncover the truth behind these mysterious transformations. Their work eventually became known as the Eclipse Project, a scientific effort dedicated to recreating the conditions of the Grand Eclipse. The project succeeded in producing altered Pokémon forms known as Solar Forms and Lunar Forms, proving that the ancient phenomenon may have been real.
At the center of this story is Asher and his family. His parents were both connected to the Eclipse Project, but their beliefs about the research led them down different paths. Asher's father, Jackson, feared the consequences of the experiments and wanted the project shut down. His mother, Siara, believed the research should continue and pushed forward despite the risks.
Following their separation, Jackson spent years watching from a distance while trying to protect his son from the dangers surrounding the project. Meanwhile, Siara continued her work, unknowingly setting the stage for future conflict.
Eleven years later, Asher begins his own Pokémon journey and enters the prestigious Eclipse Tournament. What initially seems like an opportunity to prove himself as a trainer soon becomes something much bigger. As secrets begin to surface and the consequences of the Eclipse Project unfold, Asher finds himself caught between family, responsibility, and the future of the entire region.
How to Play
Players start their adventure as Asher and travel throughout the Hupest Region, capturing Pokémon, battling trainers, and earning Gym Badges. Along the way, you'll explore towns, routes, caves, and other locations while uncovering the mysteries behind the Grand Eclipse.
Building a balanced team is important, especially since many Pokémon feature unique Solar and Lunar Forms that can introduce new typings and battle strategies. Experimenting with different team combinations can give you an advantage against tougher opponents later in the game.
The story progresses through major battles, tournament challenges, and special events tied directly to the Eclipse Project. Talking to NPCs, exploring optional areas, and paying attention to story details can help you better understand the world and its characters.
As with most Pokémon games, training your team, managing movesets, and preparing for difficult encounters are key to success.
